Guide: Firmware Upgrade for the DTF Cutter
Step 1: Save Firmware to USB Stick
Download the firmware file to your computer.
Make sure to save the file in an easily accessible folder, such as your desktop.
Insert an empty or compatible USB stick into a USB port on your computer.
Copy the downloaded firmware file to the USB stick.
Note: Ensure the file is saved directly in the root directory of the USB stick (not in a subfolder).
Safely remove the USB stick from the computer once the transfer is complete.Step 2: Insert USB Stick into the DTF Cutter
Carefully insert the USB stick containing the firmware into the USB port of the DTF Cutter.Step 3: Select Firmware Upgrade on the Fourth Screen
Navigate through the menus of the DTF Cutter using the controls until you reach the fourth screen.
Select the "Firmware Upgrade" option.Step 4: Open the Folder
A list of files on the USB stick will be displayed.
Select the appropriate firmware file.Step 5: Confirm
Choose the new firmware and press "Confirm" or the corresponding confirmation button to start the upgrade process.
Note: Do not remove the USB stick or turn off the device during the process.Step 6: Click on "Upgrade"
After confirming with "Confirm", the option "Upgrade" will appear on the screen.
Select the "Upgrade"option to start the update process.Step 7: Upgrade Process Begins
After selecting the "Upgrade" option, the device will automatically start the upgrade process.
During the upgrade:
The process may take up to 5 minutes.
The device may turn on and off several times during the process. This is normal and not a cause for concern.
If no progress is visible after 10 minutes, manually restart the device:
Turn the device off and back on.
Normally, the firmware should already have been updated after the restart.
Note: A manual restart may occasionally be necessary if there are multiple firmware versions between the current and the new version.Note: If errors occur during the upgrade, check the firmware file and USB stick for compatibility. Contact technical support if issues persist.
